Mannschaft Engineering Signs MoU with PHDC

Mannschaft Engineering and Infrastructure Systems Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation to support the development of Ghana’s Petroleum and Petrochemicals Hub.
On 12th August 2025, Mannschaft Engineering and Infrastructure Systems Ltd entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation. This partnership aims to support the development of Ghana’s Petroleum and Petrochemical Hub in Jomoro in the Western Region of Ghana.
Under this collaboration, Mannschaft will provide financial, technical, and logistical support enabling the project’s commencement.

Partnership Details
The Petroleum Hub project involves large-scale energy and industrial infrastructure. PHDC is leading the development of the hub under the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation Act, 2020 (Act 1053).
Mannschaft Engineering will play a major role in:
• Funding compensation for affected crop owners
• Assisting with community resettlement
• Providing logistical and technical support for construction
• Working with stakeholders to help begin Phase One
This support is expected to speed up early-stage activities and help Ghana become a leading energy and petrochemical center in West Africa.

About the Petroleum Hub Project
Valued at US$60 billion, the Petroleum Hub Project is one of Ghana’s most ambitious industrial initiatives, designed to transform Jomoro into a world-class energy and petrochemical hub. It will drive investment, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.
The project includes:
• Three refineries with a total capacity of 900,000 barrels per stream day (BPSD)
• Five petrochemical plants with a combined capacity of 90,000 BPSD
• Modern storage facilities with 10 million cubic meters total capacity
• Two state-of-the-art jetties for import and export operations
Once operational, the hub will position Ghana as a premier petroleum and petrochemical center in Africa, enhancing regional energy security and promoting industrial competitiveness.
